Today was the Altamont Junior High Honor's Trip and Student Council Trip. Despite the rain, a great time was had by all.

6th graders performed the play “The Shaggy Dog Murder Trial.” We definitely have some upcoming actors and actresses! They did a great job.

ACHS Prom 2024, “Under the Lanterns,” is just around the corner. It happens Saturday, April 27, 2024 at the Carriage House in Altamont.
The junior prom committee was on site to finalize arrangements and try out some of the photo booth props! We’re excited for Saturday! 💜💛💚



To help celebrate Earth Day this week students in Mrs. Meers' science class spent today cleaning up the front flower beds and adding fresh mulch. They finished up quicker than normal so 7th grade tackled cleaning up the shot put area on the track. They all did a great job freshening up the school grounds today!

Mrs. Schafer's Foods classes were finishing up the chapter on Desserts with a pie lab. All three classes make Pumpkin Pie, Oreo Pie and Glazed Strawberry Pie. They even shared their leftovers with faculty and staff. Happy Tuesday!

"Double, double, toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble." The seniors in Ms. Philpot's British Literature class put on a fantastic rendition of Macbeth for their final projects for the unit!




The 6th grade classes learned about the importance of saving and earning money today. Thank you Washington Savings Bank for coming and talking to us!

ACHS Industries is raffling off an 8ft x 10ft storage shed! The carpentry and building maintenance classes have been building it this semester. Tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100. The storage shed will be completed and ready for pick-up by the end of the school year. All proceeds will benefit the Industrial Arts program at Altamont Community High School. Please find a carpentry student for raffle tickets or reach out to Mr. Plum at splum@altamontschools.org for a ticket(s).

Mrs. Tappendorf’s third grade class was the winner of a gift card to the Giving Plate for Be A Tiffany day. Her class purchased cookies to eat and enough to share with another class, Mrs. Pikes First Grade, and some teachers. Thank you, Giving Plate!
