👏 Manufacturing Day 2025 👏 Forty-seven students from Altamont Community High School along with students from several area high schools participated in Manufacturing Day, a national event designed to highlight modern manufacturing and the rewarding career paths it offers. Manufacturers across Effingham County opened their doors to showcase the industry’s opportunities and inspire the next generation of skilled workers. Our students enjoyed lunch, connected with local businesses, and even took home some great prizes! 🎉 🏆 Kameron Wolfert won a 3-credit hour class from Lake Land College 🏆 Blake Adams won a water bottle from Irwin 🏆 Eli Elam won the John Boos giveaway We are grateful to the businesses, the Effingham Chamber of Commerce, and all of those that made this day possible and for investing in our students’ futures! 🙌

27 FCA members from ACHS attended a Fields of Faith event held at Vandalia HS football field. Members met students from 5 other FCA huddles, playing games, enjoying pizza and praying together. They heard a powerful message on what it means to be a Christian. We hope to bring that message back to our local FCA Huddle.

Mr. Walden's Agriculture Business class was visited by representatives from Dieterich Bank. The students learned great information about personal and business finances, accounts, and check writing. The students also got to take home some cool Dieterich Bank gadgets! Thank you Carrie, Jenny, and Haley for sharing your wealth of knowledge!

A helicopter from Effingham Air Evac Lifeteam will be landing on our school grounds as part of a PBIS reward experience for our students. Please do not be alarmed if you see the helicopter approaching or on school property on this day.

🩺🏥 Hospital Day in 3rd Grade! 🏥🩺 Mrs. Probst’s 3rd graders turned into “place value doctors” today during Hospital Day! 💉 They diagnosed “sick” numbers, performed “math surgery,” solved mixed up base-ten x-rays, and helped their patients recover by practicing place value skills. 🍽️⚽ A huge thank you to the Altamont Masonic Lodge for hosting the Indians Soccer team for a team meal the night before our game! Your generosity and support mean so much to our athletes. 🧡🖤
