Each year, FFA chapters around the country celebrate National FFA Week. Altamont will be holding their FFA week starting February 20th through February 24th. This week will be held with many fun farm related events.

Tuesday, February 20th, will be greenhand day. This is where all of the greenhand members wear a shirt with their hands painted on the back and the greenhand to get the most signatures on their shirt wins a prize. Tuesday will also be dress like a hick day, this even is where you wear your most country clothes and come to school wearing your hick getup. Then on Tuesday, in ap, the FFA Officers will be announcing which teacher won the Kiss The Pig contest. The winning teacher will have to come onto the gym floor and kiss the pig in front of all of the students.

Wednesday, February 21st, is dress in your favorite tractor apparel. This is where you can wear a shirt or hat that supports your favorite kind of tractor. Wednesday will also be tractor day so students can drive their tractors to school, if permitted to, and drive them through a parade.

Thursday, February 22nd, will be FFA T-shirt day. Any one who has an FFA shirt is welcome to join in wearing it on this day. On Thursday the FFA will also be holding their annual petting zoo where the students bring a wide variety of animals and have a open house for everyone to come and enjoy.

Friday, the final day of FFA week, is official dress day. Anyone who is in FFA and has official is asked to wear it to support our FFA Chapter. On Friday the FFA will also be hosting their free breakfast and everyone is encouraged to come and enjoy their delicious breakfast. At the end of the day the FFA will be having their final event, AG olympics. The olympics are always one of the favorite activities where students get to make teams to compete against each other in several different games.

Everyone on the FFA officer team encourages you to participate in FFA week while enjoying the activities they put together.
